Today, we are going to do our second rhyming activity on Microsoft Word. We are going to use the main word Mail. Then, go onto ABC Ya' when done.

Today, we are going to go onto Microsoft Word. We will be doing our FIRST rhyming activity with clip-art using the word 'cat'. Then, if you didn't finish the keyboard from last class, you need to do that. If you have, you can just go onto ABC Ya' and explore the different games on there.
Week 7 -
Today, we are going to review clip-art. Review how to search for clip-art and use the handles. Then, I will introduce how to move clip-art. Then, students will search for three different clip-arts and then move them into a 'scene'. When done, they can play on here:
Once you have fixed the broken keyboard, then you can play on the other games on the site!
Week 6 -
Today, we will review the important keys on the keyboard. Then, we will opened up Microsoft Word and type our name once. Then, I will introduce you to clip-art. Show how to insert clip-art, handles, resizing, moving. Then, play on Boowa and Kwala again for the rest of class.
Week 5 -
Today, we are going to review the keyboard. We will review the special keys on the keyboard. (shift, backspace, enter) Then, we will go onto Microsoft Word and practice typing our names. When done, we will go onto here:

Today, we will explore NetSmartz kids one last time.
Week 3 -
Review video. Make sure everyone has finished their Wanted posters. Then, go back on and play the games on NetSmartz.
Week 2 -
Today, we are going to review the video that we saw last class and discuss the 4 outlaws. Then, we are going to create 'Wanted' posters for any one of the outlaws. When done, you can explore the different games on the NetSmartz website. (the link is in Week 1)

Go over classroom rules and what we will be learning this year. Assign seats. Review the basic computer parts. Review how to use the headphones and the mouse. Review how to use the Wiki. Review exit procedures. Introduce/review Internet Safety. Watch Router's Birthday Surprise on NetSmartz. Discuss Internet Safety. If time allows, explore and play the games that are on NetSmartz.
